A place where you can bring your concerns and fears about the climate and health emergency that we, as Nurses and citizens of the earth, are facing. It is a place for solidarity, compassion, invention and creativity where we can listen to each other, share ideas and work for a healthier future for everyone.
EarthNurse is also a place of action. A place where, together, we will find ways to influence those who make the decisions that impact on the health of all life on this beautiful planet that we share. Together we can be part of creating a healthier world.
Our aims and output
- To raise awareness of the climate emergency as a healthcare emergency through our roles as Trusted Professionals
- To show solidarity with our colleagues living and working in areas of our planet where the climate crisis has been a reality for many years
- To support and strengthen our communities in the face of climate disasters that are already happening and those that are still to come
- To create materials, based on the best available evidence, that will support us in our work as health and climate ambassadors
- To facilitate supportive and empowering global connections amongst the Nursing Community
- To use our collective voice to influence decision makers to put the health of our planet, and therefore the health of everyone who shares it, at the centre of all that they do.
